Hassan Askary is a data scientist and machine learning engineer at Mobai AS, working on identity verification, biometric authentication, and deepfake detection for secure digital onboarding. He has led the research and deployment of deepfake detection capabilities and focuses on building practical, privacy-aware defenses against synthetic identity fraud.
Deepfakes have moved from impressive demos to practical fraud tooling that are used to bypass digital onboarding, account recovery, and biometric authentication. This session explains how deepfake and injection-style attacks appear in real identity verification flows, what detection approaches tend to work in production (and what commonly fails), and how to design layered defenses that balance security, user experience, and privacy.
