Nicolò Boschetti

Nicolò Boschetti is a Ph.D. Candidate in Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University and Forskarassistent (Research Assistant) in the Systems Engineering Department at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH).
He is the Secretary of the IEEE Standard Association Space Systems Cybersecurity Technical Standard Working Group and the Technical Lead of the UN-backed Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC)'s Space & Cyber Project Group.
Nicolò’s research centers on the security of space systems, particularly the cyber and electronic security of the ground segment and satellite-based telecommunications networks. His research is currently funded by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme as part of the Hybrid Space/Submarine Architecture Ensuring the Information Security of Telecommunications (HEIST) project. Additionally, he investigates the security of space infrastructure in the Arctic, examining its connection to the deployment of emergent and disruptive technologies amid evolving international tensions.
He holds a B.A. in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Bologna, an M.A. in Politics and Economics of Eurasia from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), where he focused on Russian foreign policy in outer space security, an M.S.E. in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and an M.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.
